About the project
The architectural project of Villa_RC includes two distinct areas: an ancient pre-existing one, consisting of a rural building typical of the Polignano countryside, with a barre vault and an adjoining trullo; and another one of new construction, served by a private swimming pool. The concept of the project was to recreate a sort of “open rural courtyard”, as a connecting space between the new building and the pre-existing stone building. The new building is spread over an area of approximately 114 sq. m and consists of four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a living area with kitchen. There is also a covered area used as a veranda, organized in continuity, to connect the two parts of the building and to support the functions of the outdoor spaces. The inner and outer surfaces reflect the natural light that enters into the numerous openings, radiating fin into the innermost parts of the environments.
