Best Implemented Project for Adaptation of a Cultural Heritage Site
About the project (provided by the applicant)
VIPAVENUE is an online store for which we developed a project combining an office space with an area for trying on designer clothing. It is located in a restored historic building on Dvortsovaya Embankment, next to an architectural masterpiece — the Marble Palace, built between 1768 and 1785 on the site of the former Post Yard.
The boutique’s design is inspired by the facets of diamonds and ice, whose geometric shapes contrast with the soft curves of the brick vaults, adding an air of luxurious elegance to the showroom interior. The geometric volumes play against the flowing lines of the arches and ceilings. In the center of the hall, we placed a group of armchairs and a large illuminated island made of translucent white quartz. This element became the focal point of the space, where new collections are presented and guests are welcomed. We designed three spacious fitting rooms, and a system of mirrors was installed to allow customers to see multiple reflections of themselves.
