About the project (provided by the applicant)
The building includes a spa complex and a guest area within a private country estate in the Leningrad Region. Our organization completed the project in full, from the initial concept sketch to the interior design, including working drawings and landscaping of the surrounding territory. Design work took place in 2019–2020, with construction from 2020 to 2023.
Larch wood was used for both interior and exterior finishes. Part of the pitched roof is a functional “green” roof; the junction between the standing seam pitched roof and the green roof required the architects to develop complex nodes and details.
The estate is located in a hilly landscape with a lake, which influenced the artistic and visual solution of the house. The house evokes the image of a ship: a simple sloping roof with large overhangs, a terrace with a colonnade of paired larch-clad structural supports (resembling masts), and a rope-style railing reminiscent of a sailing ship.
