WE.CA is a transformer house.
In its folded state, it is a standard-sized cargo for transportation. When unfolded, it becomes a compact two-story house ready for living.
The transformation scheme is extremely simple and does not require skilled builders. The house consists of two parts: lower and upper. The lower part includes the floor slab of the first floor, the walls of the first floor, and the ceiling above it. The upper part—walls of the second floor and the roof—acts like a box lid covering the lower section.
Folding and unfolding are performed using a manipulator, which is also used to place the house on its foundation. The house can be repeatedly transformed and transported from one location to another.
