The challenging sloped site became not an obstacle, but a key co-author of this project. The architecture of White Ghost is a masterful play with the landscape. The monolithic white volume, oriented to the south, captures maximum sunlight and panoramic views through expansive glazing.
The idea of a “ghost” floating above the hill arises from a sharp visual contrast. Impeccably smooth light surfaces, including frames, act like a canvas, reflecting the sky and highlighting seasonal changes in nature. References to Soviet modernism and brutalism, stripped of their original heaviness, create a powerful yet ultra-modern architectural gesture. This is not just a house on a hill—it is the defining element of its form.
