Boutique Apart-Hotel OKNO

Best Implemented Interior Design Project for Public Space
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The location tells its own story and generates images that form the basis of the concept. I begin with inspiration — the surroundings dictate the character, style, and emotional essence of the hotel. Step by step, these images gain details, a name, a spirit, and a form, creating a holistic space where exterior and interior resonate in unison, reflecting the true beauty of the place and its unique atmosphere.
The Apart-Hotel OKNO was created as a window into contemporary Russia. It represents a synthesis of modernity and the authenticity of Russian culture and crafts — with interiors decorated by works of Russian artisans. Located in Moscow’s historic center, near Red Square, the Apart-Hotel OKNO has become a bridge between Russia’s rich heritage and modern elegance and comfort. The hotel is filled with light, custom-made furniture and décor, antiques, and traditional Russian handicrafts. Guest rooms are named after Russian folk crafts: Dymkovo, Kasli, Vologda, Zhostovo, Gzhel, Khokhloma…
