On September 15, submissions for the Golden Trezzini Awards are closing. In 2023, for the sixth time, gilded figurines of the first architect of St. Petersburg, Domenico Trezzini, will be awarded to the authors of the most outstanding projects that correspond to the motto of the award: “Architecture as Art”.

Medicinal Herbs Garden Museum (Iran), Modaam Architects, “Best Architectural Design for Museum” Category.
Projects are accepted in 18 major categories. Applicants from all over the world are invited to participate in the application campaign free of charge: developers and planners, architects and renovators, designers and interior decorators, theatre artists, as well as students of architecture schools and departments.
First position. Russian ballet (St. Petersburg, Russia), Manege Central Exhibition Hall and Planet9 Bureau, “Best Implemented Project of Temporary or Permanent Museum Exposition” category.
Restoration of the family chapel in Gatchina Palace (Leningrad Region, Russia), Gatchina Palace and Park Museum Reserve, “Best Implemented Restoration Project” category.
The Dead City (Moscow, Russia), the New Opera theatre, stage artist Zinovy Margolin, “Best Implemented Theatre Set Design” category.
To date, the Organizing Committee of the award has received more than 500 applications from 54 countries.
Multifunctional culture center in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Kerimov Architects, “Best Project of Public Building or Facility” category.
The annual Golden Trezzini Award have been held since 2018 under the auspices of the Worldwide St. Petersburg Club. The Honorary Chairman of the International Council of the Awards is Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage, President of the Worldwide St. Petersburg Club.
Economic Cells (Albania), 2N1Studio, “Best Project of Public Building or Facility” category.
The aim of the award is the museumification of the most artistically valuable projects in the field of architecture, design, restoration, scenography and museum practice. The projects of the Golden Trezzini laureates go to the collection of the State Museum of St. Petersburg History and are shown at the annual exhibition «Architecture as Art». Right now, and until September 12 inclusive, the exhibition of the winners of the Golden Trezzini 2022 award is being held in the Ioannovsky Ravelin of the Peter and Paul Fortress, St. Petersburg.
Corsal House (Michoacán, Mexico), Corsal House Echeri Arquitectura + MCH Arquitecto Interiorista, “Best Implemented Apartment / Private House Interior Design Project” category.
Eagle Mansion Signature Villa (Egypt), MASK architects, “Best Project of Private Residence” category.
After the completion of the application campaign, all the approved projects will be evaluated by the members of the Golden Trezzini Qualification Committee to determine the shortlist of finalists. At the next stage, the shortlisted projects are to be presented to the International Jury which includes more than 200 experts from 32 countries. And the highlight of the season is the Gala awarding ceremony which will take place on November, 15 in the State Hermitage, St. Petersburg.
