Kwon Dong Seok, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in St. Petersburg joined the International Council of the Third Golden Trezzini Awards.
From 2020, the Golden Trezzini Awards for Architecture and Design, being arranged for the third time in St. Petersburg, is officially granted an international status with the support of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Russian Federation in St. Petersburg. This resulted in establishment of the International Council for the Awards, in particular, seeking to bring in experts and participants from abroad to the Awards. In April 2020, the International Council for the Awards was joined by Kwon Dong Seok, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in St. Petersburg.
“Despite all the lament updates on the coronavirus situation, the informational agenda for international cultural relations should include something else but news on flights’ and collaborative events’ cancellation,” thinks Pavel Chernyakov, Chairman of the Golden Trezzini Awards Arrangements Committee. “The advantage of our project is that it proceeds thanks to remote communications of many experts. An essential thing to deal with any epidemics is to withstand panic and to believe that life is going on. In that regard, international awards for architecture and design with 99% of it taking place online can kind of screen its participants – architects, renovators, designers, students, and people of arts – from all the negative news background. Of course, it imposes serious liabilities on the project’s organizers and partners. I really appreciate that Mr. Kwon Dong Seok supports the Golden Trezzini Awards at this point.”
“In 2019, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in St. Petersburg was awarded a honorary certificate at the Golden Trezzini Awards for a Seoul-based project,” said Kwon Dong Seok. “We’re happy to offer any and all assistance for promotion of the Awards, as it is a great initiative.”
Entries for the Third International Golden Trezzini Awards will be accepted at www.goldtrezzini.ru from April 15 through October 15. The Awards are intended to scout for architectural, designer and restoration projects that in terms of artistic value can be regarded as works of art. Participation in the Awards is free of charge.
