About the project
The task was to design a small family house that could be built quickly, featured top-quality modern architectural solutions and could be expanded with further extensions. The work resulted in a hangar-type house, following traditions of the Dutch architecture, a metal frame on a light foundation. Two facades are floor-to-ceiling aluminum stained glass windows, whereas other surfaces of walls and the roof are seamed metal. Walls are made of gas concrete blocks, and facades are decorated with clinker bricks.
An independent boiler house for heating and water treatment has been designed in accordance with the container architecture principles, and the inclined parts of the container work as traditional roof pitches. A one-storeyed extension, connecting the main part of the house through a cross-over, resulted in appearance of new spaces, in particular, an additional inner yard, faced by stained glass windows of the both main buildings.
