A classic with character

Panoramic views of Poklonnaya Gora and Victory Park in Moscow served as the starting point for this project. The interior is conceived as a continuation of the location's architectural and historical context. A bas-relief of running horses in the living room references the triumphal chariot on the Triumphal Arch, while coffered ceilings, moldings, and parquet flooring offer a contemporary interpretation of classic design.

The open initial layout made it possible to align the rooms along a single axis and create a symmetrical composition. The kitchen serves as its center, defining the overall geometry of the apartment. A portal with sliding doors connects it to the living room, preserving a sense of airiness and spatial depth.

The rigor of the classical framework is softened by contemporary art and pieces with expressive form: a wave-like sideboard, Bunny armchairs, artwork by the artist LU, and hand-painted chinoiserie wallpaper. The contrast between architectural order and expressive details creates a timeless interior—built on classical principles, yet modern in character.
