Project
A Time to Gather ... Prince Yusupov and His Library

Category
Best Implemented Project of Temporary or Permanent Museum Exposition

About the project
The exhibition dedicated to Prince Yusupov was inspired by a book.
The frontal poster is its cover, the entrance lobby is the title page, and exhibition areas are the succession of the chapters.
The ground floor comprises Yusupov’s home collection, and the 1st floor tells the audience about the mansion and the garden.
The Latin word ‘texere’ meaning both ‘text’ and ‘textile’ determined the exposition architecture. Walls of the ground floor are hold textile panels with fragments of exhibited books printed on them. The entrance is designed as a true temple of the printing industry — the colonnade frames the wall of letters, and the holy of holies on the ‘altar’ is the collection catalogue.
