About the project
At the moment, the fate of such a unique historical monument as Cape Okhtinsky remains unresolved and the problem of adapting this territory with the preservation of finds is urgent. The project involves the development of the territory for a research institute of archeology and a landscape park, which will gradually tell visitors the story of the discovery of such a unique place. The project also provides for solving logistics problems by freeing the Sverdlovsk embankment from traffic flows. The archaeological park is created due to the fact that the research institute building floats in the air on five supports. The building has five buildings dedicated to five main milestones in the history of Cape Okhtinsky and in its image refers to boats, because all these five milestones and the events that took place then are inextricably linked with Russia’s access to the Baltic.
