About the project (provided by the applicant)
Avico Villa reimagines a cherished one-story home, preserving its intimacy and human scale while embracing spatial innovation. Set in a 40-year-old town of modest silhouettes, the villa’s staggered volumes frame the courtyard like unfolding terraces. Southern exposure shapes the layout—sunlit interiors open fully to the garden. The lowered living area blurs threshold between house and landscape, echoing the previous home’s deep bond with earth. Northern massing gently shields the alley, ensuring privacy and contrast. Cantilevered terraces gaze toward the Alborz Mountains, softened by glass balustrades and veiled jacuzzi alcoves. Breezes flow through cross-ventilated plans; skylights and solar panels crown the structure in passive harmony. Rooted in place yet reaching for light, Aviko Villa is a quiet dialogue between tradition and the poetic logic of climate, memory, and form.
