About the project
This art initiative based in St. Petersburg invites the visitors to meet the artist who died at the age of 54. The well-considered scenographic design and the route through the exhibition, supported by lots of archive materials — photos, videos, sketches, and all kinds of artifacts — support a thorough dialogue with Alexey Balabanov.
The narrators at the exhibition are brothers Pyotr and Fyodor Balabanov. Following their directions, the visitors will walk from one section to another. In particular, they will learn about the most important films Alexey directed and about 11 films he was going to do but had no time to.
