About the project
Surrounded by the majestic Bislig Bay and further extending to the Pacific Ocean, the Bislig Bayfront will become the first public open space in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur, Philippines. Formerly occupied with informal settlements, the proposed 8,500 sqm waterfront development aims to uplift the city branding and tourism, and encourage green spaces for leisure and recreation while enhancing the natural environment.
Inspired by the Karawasan Festival which features dancing crabs abounding in the city, the Bislig Bayfront is envisioned to showcase movement and versatility in its landscape design and innovative amenities. The park will feature recreational facilities, such as a skate park, play areas, outdoor fitness space, viewing deck, tree promenade and activity lawn.
Truly, the Bislig Bayfront is an exciting waterfront destination that will upgrade the city’s branding, cultural identity and tourism while making the city a better place to live.
