Project
California

Nomination
Best Implemented Interior Design Project Using Works of Art

About the project
California is a two-storeyed villa of 500 m2 on the Californian shore. Featuring the contemporary style with some classic elements, the laconic design fills the entire house. White walls and large windows, opening to amazing landscapes, fill the inner space with air and create an environment of easiness and tranquility.
One of the missions of the project was to highlight the interior design with works of art from the clients’ collection, as well as some new pieces. Notably, design solutions in the diner zone to a certain extent were inspired by works of Yuroz, well-known in California. In the hall, there is a picture by Michael Maiofis, a graphic artist, some of his works owned by the Russian Museum and the Tretyakov Gallery.
