Casa Taió

Best Project of Private Residence

About the project
We were tasked to create an architecture that was appropriate to the Itajaí valley region, but with references to buildings from the interior of the state of Minas Gerais, the client's homeland. Based on this premise, we worked with materials that, in our view, determine a parallel and characterize this atmosphere.
Our understanding of the reference to Minas Gerais in houses, in addition to the materiality, is that we tend to stay on porches and in the kitchen. Saying that, the idea for the project was to create a balcony house, in which there was no need to duplicate the social spaces and which also did not create unused spaces.
