About the project
A new building can change an entire neighborhood. We chose to create our building with an active façade, which promotes a visual connection from the inside out and the outside in. It can be a store, an office, a gym, a café, anything that doesn't include the common areas of the condominium.
The tower has 3 units per floor, and every two floors has 4 units, as two of them are lofts and 2 are studios. This proposal results in completely different ambiance, allowing the future resident to make their own choices in terms of occupying the spaces.
On facades with high insolation, the use of brises was proposed to improve the thermal comfort, with shading and good air circulation. They are spaced approximately 60 cm away from the façade, so planters were designed between the spaces.
Our land is located in a neighborhood known for its hills and cliffs, so our solution was to create 4 units that resemble the houses in the neighborhood on the 9 meters of difference in level below the garage.

Applicant
Gisele Borges Arquitetura: «We are an architecture office that believes that beauty is strong and generous, that harmonic buildings make a kinder place, and that a set of them makes a good neighborhood, where people can establish bonds with their places in the world and with the people that surround them. Not everyone likes to live and work conventionally, and the architecture of a building can improve a street, a neighborhood or even a city. We think that this is the true architecture that helps change our surroundings.»
