Best Implemented Façade or Interior Project Using Ceramics

About the project
Edificio Nautico is a building located in Cascais, a Portuguese village BY the sea. It holds a dominating position in the block, it’s the new identity of the area: the ground floor has an undulating arcade reminiscent of the sea's swell, providing different light scenarios. The façade reminds an important part of Portuguese cultural heritage, it draws ceramic blinds that define privacy and provide light protection. It has 29,104 ceramic pieces, distributed in 856 panel blinds (fixed and pivot) with 4 mt high each. The blue colour reminds the ocean that surrounds us, that helps to create diverse light stains throughout the day.
