Project
Emerging Terrains — Redesigning Block D of Thapathali Campus

Category
Best Project of Building or Facility by Student

About the project
The architecture emerges out of the natural landscape that strives to create interactive and recreative spaces on the campus. An amphitheater overlooking the football field connects to the green berm roof that provides a habitat for birds and other creatures. The amphitheater imitates the natural terrain of Nepalese hills with its organic curves to provide a sense of place in the landscape. A passage cut from the amphitheater connects to an interactive space below a central oculus that brings outside to inside.
