Project
FRESH MENU – Bangalore International Airport

Category
Best Implemented Interior Design Project for Public Space

About the project
The Kempegowda International Airport, South India’s busiest airport welcoming thousands of people everyday is a grand structure which in itself is a global architectural icon. The Fresh Menu café was designed in such away, keeping in mind, the stature of the location it houses itself in, and the tag of ‘Garden City’ which visitors love to catch a glimpse of, at first. The architecture of the café itself resembles as if it were to be in a garden. An efficient structure that serves as if, it was not in an airport boundary. Elements like sufficient stock storage areas, working & serving zones, waste management organisers, ample amount of movable garden seaters & tables, adequate fences that serve as a wall for branding and advertising, use of natural wooden elements & plants contribute to sustainability of design.
