Project
Adaptation, redevelopment and restoration of Gagarins-Kuvshinnikov-Popova Mansion

Category
Best Implemented Restoration / Reconstruction Project

About the project
Before the bureau started work on the project, they studied historical archives. The facades of the 18th century building retained their original looks, but the interiors were almost completely lost. The mansion was in a poor state, so it was necessary to meticulously restore the genuine oak floors, doors, and stucco moldings. The historical interior was preserved, restored and adapted to be used as an office. The designers also came up with an interesting solution for the enfilade: the walls were simply stripped down and covered with protective glass.
