About the project
The territory of the abandoned Garden of Young Naturalists (Apple Orchard) occupies an advantageous position near the historical center of Pskov, adjacent to the Summer Garden and the House of Children's Creativity — constant points of attraction for children and youth.
Thus, the most natural solution for this site seemed to be the organization of a new public and cultural center for the area. In addition, I wanted to provide the place with a fundamentally new leisure function for city residents. All this resulted in the idea of designing a city planetarium.
The main accent is the dome of the planetary hall, creating the image of the rising sun.
