About the project
This play is based on Alexander Rybnikov’s rock opera, which the composer specially updated for the Rostov Music Theater.
At the stage, the audience sees six ribs of a ship that introduce metaphorical locations – St. Petersburg, a ship in the sea, California, a stadium tribune… Additional elements are the Sun, the Moon, the illuminator, the St. Andrew's flag, the Foucault pendulum, and the map of the Russian Empire.
