Category
Best Architectural Design for Museum

About the project
This museum was initially arranged in 2017 in a clerical building in St. Petersburg, and in 2021 Metropolitan Varsonofiy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga blessed to update the exposition. In the perspective, they intend to reconstruct the 2nd floor of the building to move the exhibits there. Yet, even today the museum premises are ready to tell the story of St. Xenia her mundane life and her act of courage for Christ, as well as the miracles she did before and after her death. The third topic covered is St. Petersburg with its churches, streets and squares that Xenia the Blessed wandered along. The fourth section is dedicated to the dramatic events of the 20th century when popes and parishioners that protected the chapel and church of the Smolensk Mother of God Icon from atheistic authorities.
