Lefortovo Metro Station
Best Implemented Interior Design Project Using Works of Art
About the project
The architectural and artistic solutions for the Lefortovo Station refer to the history of the district, dating back to between the 17th and the 18th century. Black and white ancient engravings inspired the pallet for the project. Two artistic compositions stylized as Petrine times’ gravures welcome passengers at the entrance to the station. A composition featuring a coat of arms of Franz Lefort, a native of Switzerland, is placed in the round dome lamp of the ticket hall. White marble, light grey granite, fiber concrete contrasting black gabbro highlight the graphics of the interior along with white shining lines and LED lamp frames.
