Project
Multifunctional mobile culture center for Russian monotowns

Nomination
Best Project of Public Space by a Student

About the project
Russia has 319 monotowns, their residents lacking social and cultural activities. This project offers a way of establishing a multifunctional portable venue for diverse events and exhibitions. The authors designed several ways of transportation for their portable culture centers from one town to another. The basic concept they followed can be formulated as “Music as a part of Russia’s cultural code.” The key image is the QR code linked to Tchaikovsky’s Seasons. Exteriors and interiors are integrated and full of multimedia technologies, with their own unique style. The project was designed in two versions – a summer and a winter one.
