Project
Multifunctional complex within a quarter on Ligovsky Prospekt

Category
Best Design of Building or Facility by Student

About the project
The multipurpose complex is located within a former industrial quarter in the Frunzensky district of St. Petersburg at the intersection of Tosin Street and Ligovsky Prospekt. The new facility is intended to promote the area’s development and revitalization, as well as ensure pedestrian connections between the future Borovaya metro station and an existing pedestrian boulevard in the quarter. The design of the complex is determined by the history of the site – there are four industrial-style blocks plus a chimney and an observation tower, used as high-rise accents. The layout of the facility and the design of its facades refer to the avant-garde, as this art movement and the former industrial area developed in the same historical period.
