About the project
The location of the project is the Obvodniy channel embankment, Saint Petersburg, Russia. The goal of the project Multifunctional Sports Center is to provide an enjoyable space for people in Saint Petersburg where they can engage in many activities such as rowing, swimming, relaxing in the water park and watching sports competitions, engaging in the gym, etc.
The main idea of the building is inspired by a ball floating on water. The building has five blocks with each providing its individual function. The ball acts as a gallery and a viewing deck.
The main functions of the building are swimming pool, aquapark, theatre in water, rowing, restaurant, fitness center, multifunctional, transformational sports hall.
