Project
Nefaar: Belvedere for a Flaneur

Category
Best Project of Public Building or Facility

About the project
Hero of the modern world (flaneur) vs. the hero of the world of tradition (farmer): a contemporary narrative of Nefaar architecture.
Nefaar is a single-room building that is located a few meters above the ground. The open area of the room allows its residents to use adequate ventilation and breeze. And also watch the fundamental changes in the surrounding landscapes in different seasons.
Regardless of physical and material qualities, Nefaar shows man's vision of existence and provides a possibility for him to deepen his mental ideas. With the change of the seasons and the change of the environment, Nefaar forces the thought of man to change.
The idea of this design was formed from the text written by Henry David Thoreau in the book of Walden.
