About the project
This project can help with social and ecological challenges encountered by the northern regions of Russia. 14.5 thousand indigenous people reside in the endless Arctic tundra – the nomads, whose lifestyle is upset by methane burps. Moreover, their boarding school tradition is bad for their culture, as children are separated from their families for a long time.
The author suggests building a portable research center close to methane burps and Nenets nomadic encampments – the locals will be able to get gas for their stoves here, leave their kids here for education, and then come to visit them.
