Project
Park Line Embankment Landscaping on Reclaimed Lands

Nomination
Best Project of Public Space

About the Project
The park is to be located on reclaimed lands, hence the idea of adding a natural component to the project. Each section is a reflection of a particular natural landscape in the suburbs of St. Petersburg – both in terms of the layout and the choice of hardscaping elements and plants.

The northern section echoes the sandy coast of the Gulf of Finland. It has its own color code, which is sandy-dusty-blue, and curved paths. For landscaping, the designers used birch, linden and decorative herbs.

The second section has round-shaped landscape design elements; among the plants used are the birch, willow, and moss. The color code is wet green.

The third section in designed to remind of dunes. The color code is warm sandy.

The fourth section features a rocky landscape, its color code is dark gray and green. The plants are fir, spruce and moss.

Location
St. Petersburg, the southern part of reclaimed lands of the Neva Bay of the Gulf of Finland, west part of Vasilyevsky Island.
