About the project
In 2023, Nizhny Tagil will celebrate its 300th anniversary. Despite this, the city appears young and modern.

Founded in 1725, the Kuibyshev ironworks operated for 200 years. The plant is unique as it was one of the largest and most advanced both in Russia and Europe. As a museum it has preserved its blast and open-hearth furnaces, metal fabrication shops, a water tower and a water turbine, which set in motion the rolling mill.

The plant has long become a symbol of the city, and the project pursues the renovation of its grounds, restoration of industrial architecture and creation of a social and cultural cluster.
