About the project
The authors intended to retain as much of the existing development as possible, as well as beautify the existing site grounds. People from shared accommodations were to be moved to private premises, and residential buildings were to be rearranged into the public ones. The northern part of the district was to become a site with tourist facilities like hotels, hostels, and apartment suites, plus the leisure amenities like cafes, restaurants, and shopping malls. The central part of the district is to house creative quarters, suitable for all the age groups. The south-western part was intended for office buildings. The House at Nevsky residential estate was to be retained and expanded with a courtyard and a fire truck passageway. The railway facilities in the south-eastern part of the site were to be preserved and accomplished.
