About the project
The retreatment centre is a place to meditate, do yoga and spiritual practice in the Crimean mountains (Bakhchisarai Region). The center comprises two main buildings, one secondary block and guest houses, all of them standing on a mountain slope. The designers highlighted the combination of local and oriental natural materials – stone, wood, clay roof tiling. Simple and ascetic, minimalistic and traditional, this project follows principles of Vastu, a conventional Hinduism system for architecture and design. The buildings are match sides of the world, and a water reservoir is located in the north-east. The construction is currently being coming to an end.
