Project
Revitalizing a Protestant church in Priozersk

Category
Best Project of Public Space by Student

About the project
The author suggests to use the Protestant church as a new venue to popularize science amidst the locals. Reviving the religious function is inexpedient but the cult past of the church will be given a tribute by means of lighting techniques and effects.
Here, optical phenomena will be explained in an exciting and clear way, and the visitors will be able to play and interact with the exhibits. The major interference into the church interior is a multi-tier prefab metal structure. The new venue will comprise the interior video mapping studio, the holographic lab, the fluorescent picture show, the media hall and the camera obscura.
