Project
River Gates of St. Petersburg — Renovation

Category

Best Project of Public Space by Student

About the project

Today, the so-called river gates of the city are represented by the Bolshoy Obukhovsky Bridge, the river passenger port on the right bank, and the Spartak Garden on the left. All of them are used as stand-alone facilities that don’t use their spatial potential.

The author suggests that the said premises are developed further to become a new landmark of the city. The multifunctional river station with all the harbors, piers, and sight sight seeing platforms was designed. On the left bank, access ramps were proposed, and the currently abandoned sites (like Obukhovets Statium) were readjusted for modern use.
