About the project (provided by the applicant)
Savan House, located in the temperate forests of northern Iran, is an architectural project that harmonizes human presence with nature. The design, inspired by the spiral geometry of a snail shell, symbolizes continuity and ascension. The journey begins at the forest edge, moves into a serene central courtyard, and culminates with expansive views from the rooftop.
The project addresses challenges such as maintaining privacy, climatic adaptability, and integrating modern forms with the natural environment. The central courtyard serves as the heart of the house, fostering social interaction and natural comfort. Exposed concrete and minimalist massing define the structure, seamlessly blending with the surroundings.
Savan House reinterprets Iranian spatial heritage through a contemporary lens, offering a balanced living experience deeply rooted in nature.
