The concept of Sayeh Varesh is rooted in the idea of “soft boundaries” — lightweight, flexible layers that function not as rigid walls, but as thresholds between privacy and openness. The project reinterprets the qualities of villa living within a vertical residential structure, where generous terraces and suspended courtyards act as shared spaces and breathing zones. Inspired by vernacular architecture, particularly its wooden frameworks and temporary spatial divisions, the design embraces privacy as a flexible and adaptable condition. A secondary skin, derived from local railing patterns, consists of movable perforated panels that regulate light, views, and privacy. As a result, the façade becomes a dynamic, living element that continuously responds to its users. Sayeh Varesh seeks to connect vernacular memory with contemporary living.
