Project
Scorpio House by Veluvana Bali

Category
Best Implemented Project of Private Residence

About the project
The Shape of this pavilion resembles a scorpion shell with wide openings offering unobstructed spectacular views of Mount Agung. This sight feels even more special because it is framed by a roof that is designed to almost touching the ground. The dining room and a blue swimming pool are located in the lower level with walls that are designed to create privacy and mysterious enclosure. Moreover, this cave-like design makes this lower area cool. Two holes in the pool floor function as sunken sitting areas. In the upper level, the bedroom is enveloped by a wide roof that also functions as walls creating an intimate atmosphere. Lying down on the bed, the spectacular traditional bamboo structure can be enjoyed for a moment before we closing our eyes and when we first open our eyes in the morning. Staying at the Scorpio House gives us the opportunity to escape from the daily hustle and bustle of the city, isolate ourselves in the swimming pool and retire to bed with a majestic view.
