Siberian Retreat House

Best Implemented Project of Private Residence

About the project
The basic idea of the project is creating a place to hide from the urban fuss, a place for contemplation, communing with nature and listening to yourself. The irregular site is conventionally divided into 3 functions — the white yard is an entrance, the green yard is a private site for residents, and the pristine woods are mere nature. From the north, the house looks like an ascetic one-storey volume. From the south the house is two-storey because of the sophisticated roof structure, and great vistas of the woods and the sky open through its large windows. The heart of the building is the terrace that invites to breathe some fresh air regardless of the season.
