About the project
The house is intended to be used as a permanent dwelling of the customer, his wife, and her parents.
The architect has divided the house into several zones to ensure each member of the family feels at ease: the central entrance leads into two living quarters and the gym wing with a swimming pool.
The site is located in the middle of a pine forest. The design follows the landscape in order to build a basement and preserve the existing trees.
The house is designed in soft minimalist style. The customers have chosen windows that protrude beyond the façade, which is a good way to obtain wide window sills with the thin walls made of laminated veneer lumber.
At the back of the house there is a swimming pool, a steam bath and a gym, as well as storage rooms and a guest bedroom.
