Category Best Implemented Project of Private Residence
About the project The Snake House is located in a small town called Carilo, 300 km from the big city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The place is characterized by its large pine trees and lush forests.
The house dialogues with nature in an organic way including complex and sculptural curves and countercurves of reinforced concrete that blend in with the environment and at the same time enhance the living space.
The structure includes slabs that curve horizontally and vertically generating different spaces in the home. It resembles of a snake coiling around a tree. Inside and outside boundaries are dissolved in a simple and complex way at the same time. You can actually feel the dynamism of what living in nature means.
