Torre Rinalda

About the project
The concept entails the addition of a new volume atop the existing structure. This volume harmonizes with the ancient foundations of Torre Rinalda, extends the lines of the existing walls. The new volume will be clad in glass material, exhibiting a gradient from bottom to top, creating a compelling visual effect. This aesthetic choice is intended to impart a sense of autonomy to the new volume, demarcating its departure from the historic walls. The transparency of the glass not only bestows a contemporary character upon the object but also enables the penetration of natural light, blurring the boundaries between the interior and exterior and fulfilling the symbolic function of a “lighthouse.”
Regarding the functional aspect, the transformed structure will serve as a focal point of interest for tourists, providing them with an immersive experience. Ascending through its white staircase, visitors can explore the various levels, immersing themselves in the atmosphere of the past.
