Best Project of Public Building or Facility

About the project
North-facing clerestory windows provide glare-free natural light and sky views 12 months per year. The south face of a sawtooth roof is optimally angled for PV panels, with enough collection surface to offset electrical energy costs. In connecting the center back to the community, the design began by recognizing there were no meaningful exterior gathering spaces, either at the building itself or in the adjacent garden space.
