About the project
The main objective of the redevelopment is the upgrade of the urban fabric and the improvement of the microclimate in the context of sustainable development, with emphasis on bioclimatic design with the use of cool materials (marble for the floor surfaces, wood, etc.).
The aim is the improvement of the microclimate of the area and the reduction: of the ambient temperature by 2°C, and of the thermal island and urban ravine phenomenon which have led to the deterioration of the microclimate in urban areas. Thus, water features were also incorporated apart from the careful selection and placement of plants adapted to the mediterranean climate
