About the project
The exhibition ‘Childhood in Leningrad in 1920 through 1980’ was opened in the Engineering House (St. Peter and Paul Fortress, St. Petersburg).
It offers a story about children of Leningrad and their lives in times of the USSR, told by means of photos, documents, posters, household items, and decorative pieces, borrowed from the funds of the State Museum of St. Petersburg History. INTMEDIA designed the exhibition premises and made the multimedia content - films, slideshows, audio materials, and data systems.
The exhibition has got several sections that cover different periods and spheres of children’s lives, but the most dramatic and impressive part must be the letters written by children who lived in Leningrad during the Siege, read aloud by their age-mate from today.
