About the project
The project that presents an alternative approach to use of space within a gas collector – it can be used as a museum. This museum intends to showcase the bird, which has always been a significant symbol in the Russian tradition, from the academic, cultural, and historical point of view. That’s why the exhibits are paper and electronic media, projections, 3D models, all of them telling about the life of birds and their place in art of different countries. There are no stuffed birds and displays here.
The venue of the main exposition was inspired by the weaver birds and their nests – small bridges that look like dry tangled branches lead the visitors away from the center, and make them feel as if they were birds themselves.
