Implemented Project of Public Building or Facility
About the project (provided by the applicant)
This temple in Kovashi Village was built in compliance with the research and inspection of the remaining foundation pieces in the site, as well as old drawings made by architect Kosyakov in 1911. The discovered design solutions were further adjusted to match today’s rules and standards.
This is a one-aisle church with 5 domes, a high two-level bell-tower, and staircases on both sides that lead to the choir galleries and the bell gable. The project was implemented thanks to financial support of the Charity Fund associated with the Kronshtadt St. Nicholas Naval Cathedral.
