Project Renovation of the Paramonov Warehouses Territory with Adaptation for a Youth Creative Development Center
Best Student Restoration or Reconstruction Project
About the project (provided by the applicant) The concept of the project is to breathe new life into the lost space of the Paramonov Warehouses, transforming it into an attractive public area for young people, city residents, and investors. The complex unites the past, present, and future:
The past is represented by a museum and exhibition cluster dedicated to the history of merchant dynasties, philanthropy, and grain export storage in Rostov-on-Don.
The present is a multi-level museum park with observation decks, a retail and entertainment center, and a parking facility.
The future lies in the youth cultural and educational cluster — a Center for Creative and Scientific-Technical Competencies.
The renovation of the city’s historical façade and the Don River embankment, where the cultural heritage site “Paramonov Warehouses” appears as an art object behind glass, allows visitors to feel connected to the key milestones of history. The project revives the ensemble of warehouses, giving it a chance to once again become an active part of urban life rather than a decaying monument.
